Virtual songwriter circles didn’t exist 10 years ago but now thanks to handy dandy little tools like YouTube & Facebook it is a reality. This latest Neil Young Bash had almost 20 different artists from N. America submit their favorite Neil Young covers with the only rule being that it needed to be recorded in 1 take. We want to see the raw talent and creativity.

There are some unbelievable Neil Young sound-a-likes in here with one of the most original submissions by Robin Harbron where “Transformer Man” was recorded with a vocoder. Ya, we had to Google that one as well.

A big virtual hand clap to everyone who posted, commented, and watched this little jam session on our Facebook Event page. This whole concept (see Beatles Bash & Johnny Cash Bash) has spurred on a ton of inspiration to where the next project will have an even stronger sense of collaboration. The idea will be to put all of our instrumentation together for 1 truly collaborative song called “Collaboration Corner”.

It’s amazing what happens when a Collective starts asking questions that  start with the words “What if…”
